The dredge capsized and tumbled over. What arrived at the worksite in Rivers State was an inverted 14 inch Ellicott 670HP: hull compromised, cabin crushed, systems submerged.
The DEW / IDSS team executed a total restoration: hull recovery and steel renewal, prime mover overhaul, ladder and cutterhead rebuild, pipework refit and a full cabin reconstruction, returning the vessel afloat, finished in Ellicott livery and ready for service.
“When this Ellicott 670HP went over, DEW and IDSS brought it back. We are proud of our team's work, and thankful to the client for trusting us to restore an Ellicott dredge to full service. Ellicott dredges are built to survive the worst, and our engineers proved it.”
